CROSS DRILLED ROTORS

Main Specifications Brake Discs QH
Manufactured from high quality proven materials, a special machining process to the whole braking surface distinguishes QH (HPR) "H" brake disc.
This consists of precision drilled holes, distributed in a sinusoidal pattern and positioned according to the specifications of each brake disc.
the result of this high technology design increases the radiating surface of the disc improving the capacity to disperse heat and lower the operating temperature. An average of 25% reduction in temperature is achieved across a Wide range of operating conditions. This decrease reduces the effect of distortion, caused by thermal stress in the brake disc material, which can lead to uneven braking and brake judder complaints.
In addition, the inclusion of the drilled holes on the braking surfaces allows the pad material waste and gases, created by friction between two surfaces of the pad and disc during braking, to be effectively expelled. This results in an improvement in braking efficiency ,especially on the braking system of the cars subjected to prolonged and intense use, as it maintains a constant temperature and reduces the fading effect (see diagram below).
High coefficient of friction, quick and effective braking and a longer working life of the brake disc are therefore the benefits accomplished even after continuos use of the braking system.
"HG" brake discs have an additional machining process compared to the "H" design, consisting of a series of milled grooves across the braking surface with the improvement in cleaning of the brake pad, surface.
