To maintain purified air,
the filter must be replaced
every 15,000 km or at
least once a year.
Old "pollen" cabin filters can be harmful
The greater the mileage and/or the more time that passes, the more the cabin filter loses its efficiency, which becomes harmful for the vehicle occupants. Irritated mucous membranes, stinging eyes, headaches, nausea or allergic reactions are the possible consequences of an old filter that is not changed in time. It is especially essential for those who suffer from asthma, allergies or other respiratory problems to change the filter as soon as it becomes less efficient.
Solution
The quality of PURFLUX cabin filters is widely recognised. PURFLUX supplies its customers with filters that meet all the technical and commercial constraints of automobile manufacturers. The constantly evolving ranges of PURFLUX filters are analysed daily so products can develop quicker and in a way that is more in line with market requirements.
The packaging has been designed to provide everything a user would expect: immediate identification of reference, Gencod bar code, clearly visible detailed applications on boxes, installation instructions, very
clear Product Information, etc.

The "pollen" cabin filter
This filter stops particles smaller than 1 micron such as bacteria, pollen and
exhaust fumes. The “Stop-Pollen” effect even the smallest allergenic particles that can get into the lungs, often causing asthma and allergies. Minute particles are not always filtered by the mucous membranes of the rhino-pharyngeal region or by the nose hairs and they have particularly harmful effects on health.
Therefore, the role of the “pollen” cabin filter is fundamental for the Comfort and Health of the driver and the passengers.
Why is a Cabin Air Filter necessary ?
The Cabin Filter protects the motorist and passengers from
any pollution which penetrates and concentrates within the
cabin.
The PURFLUX know-how
In order to improve the comfort of the occupants in the vehicle
cabins, two types of filters have been developed by Purflux, satisfying
the various manufacturers’ specifications:
- the Cabin "Pollen" Filter retains
particles smaller than 1 micron size,
such as air borne pollens, bacteria or exhaust
fumes.
- the Active-Carbon Cabin Filter retains not only particles and gases but
also stops unpleasant smells that may be encountered during driving.
PURFLUX sets its own test levels, approved by the highest quality
standards.
Why change the Cabin Filter?
As a result of the filter’s performance in stopping particles, its pressure drop, i.e. its restriction of airflow,
increases to a limiting value corresponding to the end of its useful life.
A cabin filter which is regularly changed contributes
to the well-being of the motorist and that of his passengers:
- cleanness inside the cabin
(reduction in the level of dust and bacteria)
- protection of air-conditioning components
- passenger comfort
When should you change the Cabin Filter?
The filter has to be replaced at optimum intervals, so that the accumulation of pollutant particles will not
cause a pressure drop ,incompatible with satisfactory operation of the vehicle’s ventilation system. This
condition can be recognised by a loss in ventilation flowrate and difficulty in
keeping the windows clear.
It is important to adhere to the manufacturer’s recommendation, changing the
Cabin Filter generally every 15,000 km. PURFLUX recommends
changing the filter at least once per year, particularly in environments with
a high pollution potential (e.g city areas).
